A major focus for Mercy Tech Mission is the Mechanics Training work we are doing in southern Africa through our ministry partner, Heart for Africa.
Project Canaan is the location of HFA’s children’s campus in Eswatini, and it’s also home to our new facility, the Lusito Training Institute. It is here that our volunteer instructors will spend their time helping our students learn life-changing skills.
The training that takes place at Lusito enables our automotive students to gain both the theoretical and practical knowledge necessary to become fully certified mechanics.
Our goal is that as our students will come to the place where they can write their government exams and become licensed mechanics. This will enable them to find employment wherever they go, and enjoy a career that is not only satisfying but that will also provide a good living for themselves and their families.
We invite you to partner with us in this exciting and life-changing work.

Thank you so much for supporting the work of Mercy Tech Mission, and continuing to help us Change Lives, One Skill at a Time.
While at Project Canaan, our volunteers will be housed in our guesthouse, hosted by our amazing Short-term Volunteer Facilitator, Laurie MacPherson.
Laurie will assist our volunteer teams with meals, accommodation, local transport, and also introduce our volunteers to the Lusito staff and students that they will be working with.
Laurie also volunteers at the Project Canaan Academy, providing assistance for those young students needing extra help with their studies.
Sandile Dlamini is the Head Instructor and Training Coordinator at Lusito, and brings many years of automotive experience and skill to his role of preparing young Swazis for their career in the trades.
Our volunteers work under his leadership and guidance, adding a unique learning experience for our students.
