Very shortly our second Mercy Tech team for 2016 will be heading down to the Baja to carry on the automotive mechanics training work at the One Life One Chance mission base in San Quintin. The team leaves March 12th and will be in the Baja for one week.
Team Leader for this trip will be MTM veteran, Todd Green. An automotive instructor at SAIT-Polytechnic in Calgary, Todd already has two MTM trips under his belt, one to Mozambique in 2011 and one to the Baja in July of 2015.
Whether in Africa or in Mexico, all our students appreciate and remember the quiet, confident ways of “Mr. Teacher Todd.”
Todd will be joined by Ed Hyslip, who was also part of the MTM 2011 training trip to Mozambique. Ed is a many-talented guy with lots of history in the automotive world as a mechanic, instructor and business owner. Ed joins us from Texas.
The third member of the team is Darwin Schatz, also a Calgarian and fellow automotive instructor from SAIT-Polytechnic.
In the past, Darwin has worked for General Motors doing dealer technician training and ACDelco technical training, and has been teaching at SAIT for the past 15 years. This will be his first mission trip adventure with Mercy Tech Mission.
We look forward to hearing great things as our March 2016 MTM Team heads for the Baja dust.
Vaya con Dios, amigos!
